About Dr. C

Doctor Daniel Clearfield is a Board-Certified physician in Primary Care Sports Medicine as well as Family Medicine & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.  He has the ability to treat all varieties of athletic, overuse, and degenerative (wear and tear) injuries and conditions in all ages of patients and athletes.

Dr. Clearfield has extensive training in diagnostic musculoskeletal/sports ultrasound (MSK-US) and ultrasound-guided injections, regenerative orthopedic medicine (including cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), & alpha-2-macroglobulin (A2M)), percutaneous needle tenotomy (PNT), nerve blocks and hydrodissection, casting/splinting and fracture management, joint and soft tissue injections and aspirations, concussion management utilizing ImPACT, XLNT Brain and SCAT testing modalities, ECG interpretation in athletes, osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), auricular hematoma management, ingrown toenail and fingernail removal, and other procedures germane to outpatient sports medicine.

Dr. Clearfield has experience working with all ages and levels of athletes including NCAA Divisions I, II & III, Olympian, NFL, XFL, NHL, USA Wrestling, USA Judo, USA Volleyball, US Amateur Boxing, MMA and WWE.  Additionally, he serves as an Official Team Physician for the XFL’s San Antonio Brahmas, for Team USA Wrestling, Team USA Judo, and the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee.  Dr. Clearfield has been awarded numerous accolades in the field of Sports Medicine and has been recognized as a DFW Top Doctor in Sports Medicine consistently since 2013.  He is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker in the field of sports medicine and he has covered sporting events all over the world.

Luke Scarborough, MA

Medical & Administrative Assistant

Luke Scarborough joined the Motion Is Medicine team in December 2024 as a Medical Assistant. He graduated from Birdville High School, where he played baseball all four years, building a strong foundation in athletics that carries into his work in patient care and recovery.
Outside the clinic, Luke enjoys playing golf, riding bike trails, and supporting DFW sports. He plans to pursue a career as a paramedic and is also considering becoming a police officer in the future.

Justin Chirinos

Medical & Administrative Assistant

Justin Chirinos is a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington studying Exercise Science. A lifelong baseball player, Justin’s personal experience with sports injuries sparked his passion for sports medicine and led him to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedics. After serving as student manager for UTA’s baseball team, he found a path and set his sights on a future in orthopedic PA medicine. Justin joined Motion is Medicine in 2026 to gain hands-on clinical experience and complement his academic foundation with real-world patient care as he works toward his goal of PA school.

Owen Boukalik

Summer Intern

Owen Boukalik is a rising senior at Illinois Wesleyan University majoring in Biology and competing on the Men’s Soccer team. Growing up, he participated in a variety of sports and continues to enjoy weightlifting in his free time. Owen is also passionate about coaching youth soccer and passing along the knowledge and experience he has gained as a player. He aspires to attend DO school and pursue a career in Sports Medicine, where he hopes to remain closely connected to athletics. Owen is excited for the opportunity to work with Dr. Clearfield this summer and further explore the field.

Hannah Clearfield

Front Desk

Hannah Clearfield has been a valued member of the Motion is Medicine team since August 2025, serving as one of our front desk staff members. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice, with aspirations of becoming a therapist in the DFW metroplex.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading, discovering new television shows, and spending time with family and friends.

Sarina Clearfield, MS

Office Manager, Lifestyle Management & Health Coach

Sarina Clearfield has been serving as the Office Manager of Motion is Medicine since May 2019. She grew up in Arlington, Texas where she attended Martin High School and was an athlete on the swim team. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Arlington earning her Bachelors in Business Management. Sarina completed a Master of Science in Lifestyle Health Sciences and Coaching at the UNT Health Science Center in 2021. She now offers Lifestyle Management & Health Coaching services through Motion is Medicine to provide offerings in health and wellness to our patients. Sarina is a fitness enthusiast, enjoying spending time at the gym and participating in outdoor activities. She also competes as an amateur bodybuilder in the fitness category. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her family, husband Dr. Daniel Clearfield, and children, Hannah, Campbell, Lainey, & Scarlett.

Raquel Ramos, MA

Medical & Administrative Assistant

Raquel Ramos joined the Motion is Medicine team in 2023, where she serves as a Medical & Administrative Assistant. She is a Texas Wesleyan University alumnus, where she majored in Business Administration and minored in Biology. She is a graduate from the International Dance Academy, where she currently serves as a dance teacher.  She also works with USA Boxing as both a coach & official. She enjoys being active with sporting activities, her favorite sports are boxing and baseball.
